I value transparency in pricing. Every project is different, however, and may require a different rate based on the time and breadth of the project. Your project will be discussed and reviewed in detail before you are given the final quote.* These prices are based on the Editorial Freelance Association’s rates.

Content/Developmental Editing

Fiction: Per word: $0.039

Nonfiction: Per word: $0.049

  • Assesses the overall structure and organization of a manuscript

  • Provides detailed feedback about voice and style with recommendations about how to improve overall flow

  • Does not include detailed copyediting or proofreading

Copyediting & Proofreading

Fiction: Per word: $0.029

Nonfiction: Per word: $0.039

  • Fine tunes sentence structure, including grammatical errors, for a polished finished product

  • Ensures all punctuation, formatting, and spelling errors are corrected

Project Based Pricing

Certain projects are subject to a custom quote, such as cookbook and recipe editing. Please get in touch via the contact page so we can discuss your project in more detail.
